Our Board
Our Board
The Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The Board meets six times per year to discuss how to advance the goals of EFMNS, oversee our budget and strategic plan, and evaluate our performance. Between Board meetings, members are expected to participate on Committees and take on projects, such as fundraising and policy development, to advance the Board's work.
We work to ensure our Board represents a variety of perspectives, experiences and expertise working within, or being impacted by, our criminal justice system. We solicit applications for new members of our Board annually in May/June, for appointment at our July AGM. In the meantime, we welcome members of the public to become involved with our Committees at any time. If you are interested in serving on our Board or volunteering with its Committees, please provide an expression of interest and resume to Cydney Kane, Board Chair, at boardchair@efrymns.ca.
