Our prison advocacy work aims to address the conditions of confinement in federal and provincial correctional facilities across Nova Scotia. Advocates work with identified women, girls, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals in custody to identify human rights abuses against prisoners. Collaboration with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies (CAEFS) expands our impact on policy change and demands changes that lead us towards a gender-responsive justice system.
