Hannah House
An eight-unit duplex in the heart of Halifax’s west end, Hannah House is a home for women and gender-diverse individuals who are prepared to live independently but can also benefit from the support that Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia offers.

Established in memory of Hannah Louise MacLean, Hannah House is a safe haven for those facing struggles similar to what Hannah faced. By providing residents with programming, counselling, and a strong sense of mutual support, our goal is to contribute to their capacity for self-sufficiency, reaching goals, fulfillment, and reintegration into the community.
